On the sell side, Ken gave us great advice for getting our house ready to sell, including providing helpful references for contractors to do some repair/clean-up work. He also did a great job in marketing our house - from bringing in a professional photographer for the pictures (bright, vibrant colors; good angles) to hosting numerous broker and public open houses. We were extremely pleased with the outcome and the overall sale process. On the buy side, we were greatly appreciative of the experience and insight that Ken brought to the process given his expertise and many years in the industry. Ken helped us find a new construction house that was in the early stage of construction. We've bought houses before, but never a house under construction, and Ken was able to guide us through the many different challenges that come with buying an unfinished product (complex contract negotiations, design elements, meetings with the developer, construction delays, etc.). It's a process that requires a great deal of time, patience, communication and experience, and Ken brought all of these and more to the table. Above all though, we were thrilled with Ken's responsiveness. Having dealt with other brokers for previous home sales/purchases, our main frustration had been a lack of timely responses and attentiveness. Ken was always available, whether by text, cell phone or email, or for the many in-person meetings at the construction site. We really felt like we were a priority. I'd highly recommend Ken for anyone that has real estate needs and that values a broker that has years of experience, gives practical advice, has a tactful negotiating style, and understands the importance of being responsive."

He was referred by parents at school. We used him to sell our single family home in Ukrainian Village when we decided to move to the suburbs. He did the due diligence to come up with an appropriate sale price, and his suggested price was higher than we had expected. The first offer we received was just one week after listing it, and the amount higher than what we had expected. He suggested we counter offer, even though we were more than happy with taking the first offer. They upped the bid and we accepted. I know that we did well, because 6 months after the sale, our house sale was listed with pictures in Crain's chicago business as an example of homes that sold higher price than their pre recession price! But the reason we were truly happy with him is that he really held our hand and kept us cool in dealing with these BUYERS! The buyers demanded to have contractors come thru our house once a week in the 5 weeks before closing!!!! At all different times! Both my wife and I almost lost it more than once, but Ken kept us calm and kept us from blowing up the deal. It was amazing to be able to go house shopping for our new house having already sold and not having to do a contingent contract. We are very happy in our house in Glencoe and have referred him many times."

"We used Ken Dooley when we relocated from Ireland to Chicago in 2011. From the beginning Ken was hands on and always available for anything we needed. It was initially difficult for us to try to find a property as we were still living in Ireland when we started the process. Ken facilitated us superbly and professionally. Ken is very personable and he made this process much easier than expected, going out of his way to Skype us and to help us to decide on a location. Ken's extensive knowledge of the city added to the success of the relationship. When we arrived in Chicago, Ken had lined up multiple listings for us to view and arranged it so that we could view all the listings in one day. Needless to say Ken found us a property straight away and within a week of arriving in the US we had signed our contract. We were extremely happy with the property that Ken sourced. It suited all our needs which made settling in to a new city much easier. We and many of our friends have used Ken since, with similar success stories. We would highly recommend Ken for any of your Realtor® needs."

My first property buying experience was like most, a nervous one. However, if it wasn't for Ken consistently keeping me informed I would have been a lot more worried. Having had such a fantastic experience with Ken with my first property I have gone back to him each and every time with the same results: confidence that I have an honest Realtor® who goes above and beyond the call of duty to make the transaction run the best that it can. When you think about it being a Realtor® is a tough job because you are dealing with two sets of people who are usually making the biggest financial transaction of their lives. Ken does his job superbly and with great integrity. i would recommend this guy to anyone who is looking to buy real estate in Chicago."

He gave us great advice and (including furniture staging advice) sold it pretty quickly. We used him on the buy side as well. It was a new construction house, also in Bucktown, he stuck with us through thick and thin (unfortunately much more thin) His knowledge of construction helped quite a bit in the building process as well. Even now, months after our closing and he has been paid, he continues to check in and make sure the builder is completing punch list items. He is very customer service minded and would respond to us immediately. We feel very lucky he was there for us. I recommend him highly."

Ken is an extremely diligent Realtor® who works late into the night to get results. He recently set up a post 9pm showing to meet the demands of the prospective buyer. Ken pays great attention to detail and points out things that will help a property sell quicker and help the process go smoothly. Ken provides good feedback highlighting both positive and negative observations from prospective buyers. I would highly recommend Ken to anyone interested in buying or selling a home or investment property."

His attention to detail, marketing skills at gaining foot traffic and moving property is second to none. His knowledge of the market and pricing was a great help in a down market. He brought us up to his level of thinking and we thank him for that. We would highly recommend Mr. Dooley for any buying or selling activity in the Chicago market. His new firm is well balanced and has a remarkable track record in the Real Estate and trust of Chicago."
