The Right Shade Of Color!

The retail storefronts on the streets of Paris use a variety of colors that are quite spectacular, and often the combinations (both subtle and contrasting) are equally inspiring.

The quality of the shades of these colors is what makes them so wonderful. There is red, and then there is red. A red that emulates the shade of red seen on the wax of an envelope seal. A green so dark it's almost black but not black.  Even the simplest ivory is of a shade that conveys sophistication. These colors are just so right! Why? When you are given a choice of colors that others with superb taste have fussed over for months and years, chances are whichever color you choose is probably going to be perfectly beautiful. There are two paint companies that truly excel at this.  "Farrow & Ball" and "Fine Paints of Europe". Each manages to deliver a range of colors in hues that are for the most perfection!

This is what people associate with color:

Red: 68% associated red with love.
Blue: 35% linked blue to feelings of relief.
Green: 39% linked green to contentment.
Yellow: 52% felt that yellow means joy.
Purple: 25% reported they associated purple with pleasure.
Brown: 36% linked brown to disgust.
Orange: 44% associated orange with joy.
Pink: 50% linked pink with love.

So, if you're unable to pick out the perfect shade of paint color, these two resources offer an easy path to selecting a color that will more than likely look exquisite (they are expensive though) but other more mainstream paint manufacturers are able to match these colors very closely at a much more affordable price.

Paint has the power to change the narrative and appearance of any room or home quickly and cheaply, by far. Creative use of color can make things all the more distinctive and evoke an emotional reaction unlike any other.
