The wealthy love tax breaks, yes, but two things most crave more than anything are security and privacy. Look at Monaco where security is at a premium. Look at some of the island communities in Florida, or high security condos or HOA subdivisions around the globe and there is enough evidence that many wealthy people wish to be cocooned amongst those who are of a similar wealth level in a high security setting where they can arrive and depart without scrutiny, peering paparazzi or inquisitive/envious eyeballs.
I have known super-wealthy families to spend extraordinary sums to almost 'disappear' out of the public's gaze. Blurred Google Earth images. Scrubbed info online. Murky details about exactly where they really reside. Private jets in private airports. Yachts. Islands. Multiple cell phones. Highly advanced security systems. Guards. The list goes on.
As many in the world become vulnerable targets of increasing criminal enterprises, through my broker network, I have access to those properties and areas that deliver security and privacy for my clients.
