Those in the real estate advisory/brokerage profession have entered the era where we live the 3 "T's", Time, Trust and Tenacity:
1. TIME: If time is the last luxury, anyone saving the time of others will have a long, healthy, and rewarding career, especially in real estate brokerage and advisory. The ability to gather real, accurate, and pertinent data and extrude insights which are important and meaningful to clients combined with years of learned skills, knowledge and know-how will grow in value. The future belongs to great (time-saving) editors.
2. TRUST: We have entered the trust economy, in a world where trust is being eroded everywhere at an alarming rate. People are increasingly suspicious of people and promises everywhere. The tech industry and politicians are vying for the gold medal. PEW research polling shows that roughly 78% of Americans believe major tech companies have too much political power and influence. Earning trust can take months and years, and yes, it is earned. Often, it is earned via the endorsement of someone else who is highly trusted. Losing trust can happen in an instant and is virtually impossible to regain. Trust is mostly about honesty and reliability.
3. TENACITY: This is all about the "can-do" spirit and determination to get things done. Never quitting, even when tough times emerge. It implies perseverance, persistence, resolve, and the problem-solving skills to achieve results via intelligent strategy, learning from mistakes, fast, and pivoting even faster. Strong relationships that allow easier, faster problem-solving and the ability to think and execute creatively and effectively combined with a good attitude, energy, and a positive mindset ensures the job gets done.
Those who practice the 3 "T's" on a daily basis are certain to do well. I'd argue that almost all of the above are a.i.-proof skills too!!!
